Haba Dancing Eggs Game

Dancing Eggs from Haba is a fun game in which ages 5 and up 2-4 players jump, run, dance and more all while holding eggs in strange spots.

My son Joshua loves action figures, but he only likes smaller ones, he doesn't like the foot tall ones for some reason.

Straighter Teeth with Invisalign Teen!

When I was younger, my teeth were crooked. I remember feeling horrible looking in the mirror, and knowing I was going to have to have braces. Friends of mine had braces, and they talked about how painful it was to have them tightened (tightening is when you go in on a scheduled basis, like once a month, and the braces get pulled closer together to make the teeth straighter). I remember my friends not being able to eat for days afterwards (remember the episode of The Brady Bunch when Marcia got braces? She couldn't eat either).

Kinderfeets Balance Bike

With 5 kids its really hard to find the time to teach them how to ride a bike, but Kinderfeets has made it a little easier on my younger ones.

Kinderfeets is a bike which has no pedals it works all on balance which is the key skill needed to learning how to ride a bike. The Kinderfeets Chalkboard Balance Bike is amazing, it comes in 6 colors which can be colored on with chalk making for your own personal touch.

The Kinderfeets works like a scooter only your teaching your child how to sit rather than stand. The tires on the Kinderfeets do not require air which I find myself putting in my sons bikes often. The seat has a removeable, washable seat cover which is a big deal when dealing with children.

I love this bike. It is small which is great because I can take it with me to the park and while older kids play I work with my younger ones on the Kinderfeets which Elizabeth the 4 year old is very close. I love that its closer to the ground so my child is not freaking out about falling, it also does have a spot which kids can place feet so they can get a feel for what it would be like to be on a bike. Flickerz the fun game of skill

I remember in school the boys would fold paper into what they would call a football and then make a goal with their hands and someone would then flick the football into the goal.

Jungo toys has made this game into a more fun exciting game by creating Flickerz. Flickerz is a fun game which has a net that pops up for play or folds flat for travel. The Flickerz game is played with 2 players white and red and each gets 3 disk, the object so to aim the disk at the goal and add up points whoever has the highest points wins.

The net has different scores, 100-500, 500 being the center. The net can be placed as close or as far as you want the disk in the Flickerz game can go over 70 feet! What is great about this game is you can play it both in and outdoors. You can also play a mean game of catch with Flickerz because they fly so well and can be hard to spot when coming at you, which makes for great focus.

KidKraft Musical Instruments

My girls are 4 and 2 and they are always watching their brothers talk about school and different things they do in school which one is music. So my girls are always asking me to purchase things which make them be like their older brothers.

Harvest Time Games a way to communicate better

Having kids in school I learn its not always easy to communicate with them as much as I would like to. Thanks to Harvest Time Games I am able to teach them and get them to open up to me about issues, all while relaxed and having fun.

Abundant Harvest for Kids is a game which is for ages 7 and up and can be played with 2 to 8 players.  The games theme is you reap what you sow. The game has different scenarios like school, parent, child and more. Each scenario has something to do with the main scenario on the card. Example:

Child Scenario, Your older brother is constantly teasing you and fun of you in front of his friends. What do YOU do? Which  this allows for your child to address the issue before it has become one or if it is a issue help the parent and child understand how to work through the issue at hand. My kids do this often and I have to always yell at them to stop fighting and picking on each other. Once we played this game it helped my oldest child to understand why its mean and hurtful what he was doing and for the youngest one to understand that everyone needs their time alone.

From start to finish the whole game is about 30-45 mins to play depending on how each person answers the question, it was a great way to break the ice and really let each child talk about the issues they face in school and at home.

Life Scenario:
Your roommate has been behind on paying their portion of the bills. This is the second month of hearing excuses. You are running low on savings to cover their part. What do YOU do?

I have never been in this situation but I have seen it break up some of the best of friends. This is a great way to break the ice and get everything on the table, and its great for teens to know how to deal with these things if they come up when they move out on their own.

When we grow up all we can do is learn from others and apply it the best way we are able. Although we are taught to respect others and to be honest to one another this is not always the case. The Principles of our World is a series of books which help us to relate and learn from others actions. The 5 I received are:

Honesty: a book which tells us why its good to be honest and what comes of being honest
Sacrifice: work hard for a better stratifying reward
Courage: how to stand up for yourself and others, along with overcoming obstacles in life
Compassion: how to care for one another, to love
Teamwork: how to work well with others

There are many more books besides the 5 I listed all which teach valuable life lessons.

Face to Face is a series of games which are like mini editions of Abundant Harvest. The Face to Face has 3 editions: Kids, Dinner Party and Teens. Each game is played with 2 or more players. Each game has a scenario card which you then reply with how you would handle the situation. The Face to Face games make for great road trip games, park games, party games and more. The Face to Face games are small and easy to be carried anywhere. Kenson Parenting Helpful ways to Parent Better

Whether you have 1,5, or 100 kids you know its a lot of work to raise them right. I am always looking for ways which I can get my kids to do something but reward them afterwards for doing so. Kenson Parenting, is a great site to help me find something for each kids needs. Let's face it all kids are different and not everything works on them, you have personalities, age, and many other things to consider when assigning chores, homework and activities.

One of the charts which I found great for my 2 year old was the I Can Do It! reward chart. The chart as things like, getting dressed, water the plants, no whining, clean your room, go to and stay in bed, sharing and many more. I found this chart was great for her, not because she is 2 but because since she is number 5 she is much more advanced for her age because she has her brothers and sisters to watch, so these things are something she could accomplished and we can work on together.

What is great about the I Can Do It! chart is that you can set it for your child's age. If I had, had this with my first born I would had used other options of activities which would fit his actions. The idea of the chart is to help both parent and child. It helps the parent by letting them set goals and helping the child reach the goals. It helps the child feel like they are doing their part and they can get a small reward once they receive 7 stars in a activity or a full chart or however you wish to reward them. The idea is to keep a regular routine which is simple to follow and gets the job done without the yelling.

I do different rewards for the week, if they have full activity complete with the 7 stars I will get them a ice cream cone, if they have a full chart a small toy, or try and go to a park they would like to go to. I love having the chart because my kids seem more happy to do things because they see they are doing good. They have a positive image placed in their minds which helps them to do better each day. I noticed with the younger one the change of attitude she loved to yell and whine but since the chart and seeing her brothers and sister getting rewards she has made some major changes.

Colgate Enamel Health Toothbrush and Toothpaste

Recently, Colgate introduces a new line of products called "Enamel Health". Why is Enamel Health so important?

The enamel on your teeth is the hardest and most highly mineralized substance in your body. It covers the outer layer of each tooth, and it is the most visible part of the tooth. The enamel is made up mostly of minerals, primarily hydroxyapatite. The color can vary from light yellow to grayish white. Because it is semi-translucent, it is only partially responsible for the color of your teeth.

 
Enamel plays a very important role in protecting your teeth from decay, so it is important to do everything that you can to prevent your enamel from eroding. It forms a strong barrier that shields the inner layers of your teeth from the effects of acids and plaque. It also protects the sensitive inner layers of your teeth from foods and beverages that are very hot or very cold.

If your enamel is destroyed, your body does not make more to replace it. Unlike other parts of your body — like your bones — enamel does not contain any living cells, so it cannot regenerate.

  

You can protect your enamel by avoiding foods that are known to cause a lot of damage. Sugary foods and acidic fruits and beverages are among the most damaging to your enamel. When those substances stick to your teeth and interact with bacteria in your mouth, lactic acid is produced, which can damage your enamel. Avoid these foods when you can, and if you do consume them, remember to brush thoroughly afterward.
Biting or chewing very hard foods, like hard candy or ice cubes, can also damage your enamel by causing it to crack or chip, so they should also be avoided. If you do indulge in hard candy, suck on it.

Of course, you can also protect your enamel by practicing good oral hygiene habits, such as regular brushing with a fluoride toothpaste, flossing, and visiting your dental professional for regular professional cleanings.

Noosa Yoghurt Introduces Three New Flavors!

Noosa Finest Yoghurt is "going troppo" in Seattle with two new varieties: Noosa Coconut and Noosa Pineapple. These varieties join an already diverse Noosa Yoghurt line and are available on grocery shelves nationwide.

 Noosa Coconut and Noosa Pineapple are a contrast in sweet and tangy flavor combinations. Noosa Pineapple blends creamy yogurt with tangy bites of pineapple puree to create a yogurt with flavor that's brighter than the Sunshine Coast. Noosa Coconut is rich with sweet, shredded coconut, a delicious contrast to Noosa's velvety texture.

 Like all varieties in the Noosa family, Noosa Coconut and Noosa Pineapple are crafted daily in small batches on-site at Morning Fresh Dairy Farm in Colorado, and are free of artificial ingredients of any kind. Noosa Yoghurts are also gluten-free and made from the milk of happy cows from local Colorado farms that are never treated with rBGH growth hormone.






 I got to sample the three new flavors and let me tell you, the Pumpkin Noosa is HEAVEN. It's smooth and creamy and pumpkin-y it's like a pumpkin cheesecake, really really good, and I hope they continue it all year long. What I like too, is that it's not pumpkin "flavored". When you open the carton you see the REAL pumpkin at the bottom..and it's delicious.
