New MetroPCS LG Optimus F3 Android Phone

True Story.
Yesterday I was at the Home and Garden show with my family, and every once in a while there was a booth where the kids could spin a wheel to win a prize (in order to get the parents to stop and talk about whatever it is they were promoting).
My kids made a beeline when they saw the Verizon Wireless wheel, and ran over there with my husband and I right behind. The sales man in the booth asked me "which phone company are you currently with?" and I said "MetroPCS" and he looks at his associate and says "another one..darn it!" I asked him what he meant by that and he said "we have never convinced anyone with MetroPCS to switch to Verizon".

I wonder why? :-) Maybe it's the fact that they have an AWESOME selection of phones to choose from? Maybe it's because the price is $40 (not in all areas) for unlimited talk, text and data?

I am going to tell you about some of my favorite features of the LG Optimus F3
  • It's $99 right now at MetroPCS after mail in rebate.
  • It has 4GLTE connectivity.
  • It has Android 4.1 platform using Jelly Bean.
  • It has a 1.2 GHZ dual-core processor.
  • It has a 4 inch touchscreen with true to nature color.
  • It has a 2,460 mAh battery with up to 13.5 hours of talk time.
  • It has a 5MP rear-facing camera with full HD video.
  • You can edit your own videos with 1080p video recording and Video Wiz.
  • You can use QuickMemo to write or draw on any screen shot or photo using just your finger.
  • It has up to 13.5 hours of talk time.
  • It has 1.2 GB of internal memory and p to 32 GB of external memory.
  • It has a stereo bluetooth

Of course one of the best features for me is that MetroPCS has an added app on the phone for a 4G hotspot. That means I can go to the park and connect my tablet or laptop while the kids play. This has been SO useful to me. We have been doing a LOT more school work outside.

Let's talk about the camera.

I have up until now, been using my iPod Touch for the photos in my posts. One thing that really bothers me is the lack of flash. My cell phone prior to the LG Optimus F3 was a Samsung which had a flash, but every picture looked like the flash was too bright and it couldn't be adjusted.

Take a look at this picture.

This is WITH the flash...perfect, even lighting. Not stronger in one spot than the other..just even and nice.

I definitely recommend  this phone. I have been using it for almost a month now and have absolutely nothing but good things to say about it. You can purchase it through MetroPCS here.

Now that you bought the phone check out this great deal on protective cases on Amazon! Can choose from different colors as well.

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned in this post to help facilitate my review. All opinions are mine and I was not influenced in any way.
