Bolthouse Farms Holiday Limited Edition Flavors

My love for all things "Holiday" flavored is never ending. Show me anything pumpkin flavored and I am all over it, even in the spring. It just makes me feel all warm inside.

I was really excited to get the chance to sample Bolthouse Farms new "Limited Edition" flavors for the Holiday Season.

First was the Holiday Nog. It's rich and creamy, and just the right amount of spicy. It's also Gluten Free, and made with low-fat milk..so you can indulge without the guilt.

Next, I tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte. This was my favorite of the 3, because, well...it's pumpkin. I took a hint from a friend and tried it with a little milk added to it..since it's coffee! And it made it even better.

Finally, the Peppermint Mocha, which was very very chocolatey, and again I added some milk, and it was perfect. It's definitely a coffee, and my husband and I enjoyed a glass after the kids went to bed with a little bit of vodka ;-)

You can purchase these Bolthouse Farms drinks, and many others in the produce section of your local grocery store.

New Goldfish Puffs and Goldfish Mac and Cheese Review

Goldfish Puffs could not have been on the market at a better time. I was recently having a conversation with Xander about his love for goldfish crackers, but yet, how he felt like they were a "baby snack".

Well, now he can be a "big boy" with Goldfish Puffs

These are much larger than the typical Goldfish cracker, and aimed at pleasing the older child. With flavors like Mega Cheese, Cheddar and Bacon, and Buffalo Wing, they please adults as well.

I didn't try the Cheddar and Bacon, since bacon isn't my thing..but I did give them to Casey who said they are AWESOME. Xander and I tried the Mega Cheese, and the Buffalo Wing, and we loved both of them very much. They reminded us of a cheeto.

Next, we tried 4 varieties of Goldfish Mac & Cheese
  • Cheddar
  • Cheesy Pizza
  • Butter Parmesan
  • Nacho Cheese
For me, I really liked the Butter Parmesan. It has a mild, almost alfredo-like sauce that is delicious.

The kids really liked that the pasta is shaped like Goldfish, and told me that the cheese flavor, really tastes like Goldfish Crackers. We enjoyed all 4 varieties, which surprised me, because my boys are picky!

You can purchase both the Puffs and the Mac & Cheese at your local grocery store.

Red Lobster Seaside Express

Recently, Casey and I were invited to lunch at Red Lobster, where we got to try their new concept in a quick lunch called "Seaside Express".

Right now, this is only available in test markets, but from the way people were enjoying it, I could tell it's not going to be long until Red Lobster introduces it nation wide.

Here is how it works.

You walk in, and one side of the restaurant is for "Seaside Express" customers only. There, you will place your order from a menu board, and pay first. Take your drink cup and table number and have a seat.
You can refill your drink as often as you like completely on your own. Lunch is delivered to your table within about 7 minutes, so you can be on your way as quickly as possible.

We also sampled a few of the appetizers, but this sweet chili shrimp was my favorite!

The lunch menu is limited, so if you want the Admiral's Feast, you should sit in the regular dining area. From what I saw and experienced, the menu at Seaside Express is full of plenty of choices for the seafood, and non seafood fan.

I had the Lobster Grilled Cheese with Clam Chowder.
Lunch prices start at $6.99 and include one side and a famous Cheddar Bay Biscuit. Seaside Express is available from 11am to 3pm at the Sanford, FL and E. Colonial Dr locations.

Gorton's #WickedGoodSeafood and Giveaway!

Recently, I had the opportunity to try many Gorton's Seafood products, like the Potato Crunch Fish Filets.

and the Beer Battered Tenders.

Since we have been on a mission to get the kids to try new things at dinnertime, this was my perfect chance. The kids really liked both products, especially the Beer Battered Tenders. They are perfect for dipping and remind the kids of chicken.

Did you know that the Gorton's Grilled products are certified gluten free? I didn't...and with trying to reduce the gluten in our house, that's really exciting news! I am not sure how the kids will feel about grilled fish..but I am going to try!

Fish has also been known to lower high blood pressure. I am hoping that by adding more to my diet, I can get off my medication.

From now until October 18th, you can enter the “Wicked Good Seafood” sweepstakes for a chance to win a Wicked Good Trip to Boston, MA for 4.
Make sure you like Gorton's on Facebook and Twitter to hear about all the latest products and promotions.

One reader is going to win (3) $2 off product coupons, 1 Gorton’s-branded keychain, an assortment of Gorton’s recipe cards and Gorton’s postcards. Just leave a comment below telling me which Gorton's product is your favorite.

Godiva Chocolates "Truffle-Flights" are an Indulgent Taste Journey

When I was about 10 I was introduced the first time to Godiva Chocolates. I remember my mom and I were in a fancy department store, and they were selling them in a huge glass case
My mom took me over there, and let me pick out my 2 favorites. One was dark chocolate with pink on top, and the other was a milk chocolate with a cocoa powder dusting. I have been a fan ever since. My Birthday and Christmas list always includes a box of Godiva, and I always get them.

Now that my boys are getting a little older and have matured tastes, I knew it was just the right time to introduce them. We were sent several boxes of the new "Truffle-Flights" to sample.

This fall, GODIVA Chocolatier introduces the first-ever Truffle Flights™ collection, an indulgent new tasting experience where every truffle tells a distinct story.  With six unique flights featuring a mix of GODIVA's new and most beloved truffles, the collection creates a memorable taste journey that lingers long after the chocolate has deliciously disappeared. Each flight features six hand selected truffles that are placed in order for the ideal tasting experience.  Much like you would taste a wine flight, tasting a GODIVA Truffle flight is a progressive exploration of flavors, textures and aromas. Each box offers a deliciously rich taste journey, with a beginning, middle and end that consistently unveils new surprises, experiences and sensations.

The six Truffle Flight Collections include:
I wanted the boys to pick the flavors they wanted to sample, so Riley picked the Birthday Cake Truffle, from the Cake Truffle Flight Collection.

The center was creamy, white chocolate and Birthday cake flavored  while just outside of that was a melt-in-your-mouth milk chocolate, topped with a white (pink) chocolate coating and sprinkles.

Riley LOVED it, and I did too..since he and I cut it in half and shared it!

Xander chose to try the Chocolate Lava Cake from the Ultimate Dessert Truffle Flight Collection.

This one was beyond good. It has a dark chocolate shell surrounded by dark and milk chocolate goodness on the inside. I love how half of it was solid, and half was not, in true Lava Cake respect.

You can purchase Godiva Truffle Flights online here, or in stores (my nearest location is at the mall!) for about $16.00 a box.

Take and Shake Bouche Baby Bottle a Bottle that goes from Infant to Toddler!

I only wish this was around when I had my other kids. The Take and Shake baby bottle from Bouche Baby. I would always bring a can with me when I went out on shopping trips and a water bottle, which I often would forget one or the other.

The Take and Shake baby bottle from Bouche Baby is great way to have both without having 2 containers. You place your infants formula in the bottle and water but yet they don't mix til you want!

The bottle saves me so much in time, stress and much more! I passed it on to my sister in law to have a go at it and she loved so much she bought a few others.

You can use the bottle from infant to toddler with a twist! How does this bottle work? You place the water inside, twist and then snap in the shaker part along with adding the formula, twist on the blue lid which will keep the water in and the formula out when ready to use, remove the blue lid and twist on bottom for a quick easy release of formula to bottle making for a easy feeding.

The Take and Shake baby bottle from Bouche Baby is a great for the working or on the go mom as well. When your infant turns into a toddler replace the nipple with a sippy nipple and your good to go handles and all.

Bottles can only be purchased  by clicking here!

I think this bottle is a must have! I would recommend to all friends families and more! It's such a great bottle.

Check out the How to Video here!

TinkerToy's Review

I am sure most of us have played or at least heard of the classic TinkerToy. Now for the new generation they are plastic, which means longer lasting, and some are bendable!

I played with these when I was younger, and even now they remain a favorite in mine and my kids life. Its great to share something that was apart of my childhood with my kids.

What is so special besides being a classic toy, is that there are many ways to play with TinkerToy. I also like that that the TinkerToy starts at age 3! So you can get your child on the right start to a great imagination. In each box of TinkerToy is a instruction sheet on how to make a few fun things like a merry go round!

My kids played and played with these when they came in the home, they honestly play with them daily. The plastic is great because if unwanted juice happens to get on them I can wash them. My kids like the plastic because of the pieces locking together better and the longer sticks bend so you can make almost a perfect circle.

You can purchase TinkerToy at all major retail stores. Makes a great gift as well.

Jamba Juice Green Fusion Smoothies Review and Giveaway

Jamba Juice Smoothies come in flavors like:
  • Strawberries Wild
  • Razzmatazz
  • Mango-a-go-go
  • Caribbean Passion
  • Orange Dream Machine
  • Green Fusion
I was asked to try the Green Fusion and let you know my thoughts. I am going to tell you, I love it. There is spinach along with other green fruits like kiwi, apple, mango. I really wanted to see what Xander thought though, because he is my smoothie drinker, he has at least one a day, and I wanted to see if he would notice the spinach (and broccoli).

He didn't! I didn't tell him it was in there, because he would probably not want to drink it knowing that, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him!

You can purchase the Jamba Juice Smoothies in most major supermarkets for about $2.99 a package which makes 2 smoothies.

One reader is going to WIN 4 FREE coupons to get their own Jamba Juice Smoothies. Enter using the rafflecopter form below. Good Luck!

Seattle's Best Coffee Frozen Blends Review and Giveaway

First of all. My husband is always on me because I love to buy frozen coffee drinks. He is right, I mean, we can't afford it, yet, I *have* to have it.

We were both excited to find Seattle's Best Frozen Blends in the frozen fruit section of our supermarket. For $2.99 it claims to make 2 servings, each 8oz (I have been paying about $4.50 for an 8oz frozen drink at other places, so this is a HUGE savings for me).

Seattle's Best Coffee Frozen Coffee Blends arrive in stores summer of 2013 with a suggested retail price of $2.99 - $3.49 per bag. Each packages makes two, 8-ounce blended coffee drinks.

The Frozen Blends come in 4 varieties:
  • Very Vanilla
  • Creamy Caramel (my favorite!)
  • Mega Mocha
  • Coffee Chiller
After making my first one (blend contents of bag and 8oz of milk) I was so impressed. First of all, these are much creamier than the ones I have been getting, and creamy = GOOD. The coffee taste in them is awesome, but, Seattle's Best DOES make great coffee, so of course it would be. I also like that I can add any kind of milk I want. If I want to save some calories, I can add fat free or skim milk, if I am splurging and don't care, I can add whole milk.

I also tried the Coffee Chiller and added some dairy creamer to it, like my favorite "Almond Joy" and it was definitely like ordering a drink at a coffee house, but at a FRACTION of the cost.

Right now if you visit the link here you can print a coupon to save $1.00 off the already low price of $2.99 (srp).

Special K Nourish Hot Cereal and Nutrition Bars Review

My husband and I are oatmeal eaters. Every morning for breakfast we have a bowl, it's good for you, it's filling, and gets us ready for the day.
I am so excited to tell you about Special K Nourish Hot Cereal and Nutrition Bars

First of all, the hot cereal has a little container on the top with "add-ins" that you mix in to your cereal.

The Special K Nourish Hot Cereal comes in 3 flavors.
My favorite was the Maple Brown Sugar Crunch, and my husband really likes the Cranberry Almond. I love that these are "hot cereal" not oatmeal, because what that means is that instead of just getting "oats" in your breakfast, you get a blend of oats, quinoa, wheat and barley.

Special K Nourish Hot Creals only have about 5g of fat per serving.

Next, the Special K Nourish Nutrition Bars.

These bars come in 3 varieties as well.
While the Lemon Twist is by far my favorite (I love everything lemon!) the other 2 flavors are both really good. These bars are made with the same 4 whole grans (oats, quinoa, wheat and barley) and have 6-7g of fat per bar.

With 5 grams of fiber per bar, they are also really filling! Great for an afternoon snack.

You can purchase the Special K Nutrition Bars in the nutrition aisle of most supermarkets, and the Hot Cereal in the cereal aisle.

Cuddlebarn Nutcracker Teddy Review and Giveaway!

Cuddlebarn is currently offering an awesome selection of Animated Holiday Plush Toys.
I recently got to check out the new Nutcracker Teddy.

Nutcracker Teddy recites The Nutcracker Story while moving his head and body from side to side. Music from the ballet is played as well. One thing I really loved is that I was expecting it to be a short snipet of the story, and it was the whole thing! The entire reading takes a few minutes, rather than like other toys that talk or play music last only a few seconds.

Nutracker Teddy comes with the batteries already included which is a HUGE bonus for us. I let the kids listen to the story a few times, and they want to hear it every day! They can almost recite it word for word, which is great!

Check out the video of Nutcracker Teddy in action!

Cuddlebarn has a huge selection of other animated holiday toys, like:
Christmas Garfield

Rockin' Robbie

and Kris Jingle

All these selections, and more can be purchased for $29.99 here.  Right now if you use code Holiday13 you can save 5% of your purchase. Offer expires 12/15/13.

Magic Straws Review

Ok, so what are Magic Straws? They are these really cool straws that are filled with flavorings, so that when you drink milk, the milk passes through the flavor beads and mixes with the milk to make your drink taste better.

https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/u/1/?ui=2&ik=5f054db2c6&view=att&th=1414207e6cafe979&attid=0.1&disp=inline&realattid=7ce4dc514eff10d00.1&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P_1zus7RKIopoZjSXQDX5vr&sadet=1379792361614&sads=icALdTUVBGXBdrsDKbTNbhmcVQE
Riley is a milk drinker. Xander hates it. He won't touch milk. But, he loves chocolate milk, so I decided to try him first and see how he liked the Magic Straws

We got to try the new "Dippin' Dots" and some other varieties like:
    • Chocolate
    • Strawberry
    • Vanilla Milkshake
    • Cookies & Cream
    • Strawberry/Banana
    • Orange Cream
    • Wild Berry
    • Banana Cream
    • Cinnamon Roll

Xander chose the Cookies & Cream first, and he LOVED it. I like that instead of adding unnecessary calories and sugar to his milk, I am just adding 17 calories and 0 grams of fat! That's a lot healthier than 4 tablespoons of chocolate.

Riley of course loved every flavor, especially the Birthday Cake one, he said it reminded him of Fruit Loops cereal!

You can purchase Magic Straws in most grocery stores.

Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Review and Giveaway

http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/01/38/00/55/0001380055484_500X500.jpg
Lean Cuisine recently introduced a new line called "Honestly Good". So, what is the difference between Honestly Good and the other Lean Cuisine frozen entrees? Honestly Good is 100% Natural.
With whole chicken breasts and whole grains, you will find a new favorite in every bite.
Honestly Good comes in 6 varieties:
I decided to try the Pomegranate Chicken which is "Whole grilled chicken breast filet, whole grain pilaf with currants, green beans, yellow beans, ribbon cut carrots, and a pomegranate glaze in a separate pouch".
With 390 calories and only 9 grams of fat, I am super excited!

This was definitely one of the BEST frozen low calorie meals I have ever had. The whole grain pilaf makes it very very filling, and everything was delicious. It really reminded me of a recent trip I took with my mom to a spa where we had lunch.

Right now you can print a coupon for $1 off 6 here.
