My grandparents have lots and lots of negatives and slides. Many, many slides. Which anyone who has slides knows how hard it is to keep them together. They take up a lot of space, and negatives can just get destroyed with age and use.
I am super excited to have the ION Flim2SD Plus. It's totally awesome for someone with old family pictures that everyone wants to see but doesn't have the time and money to run to a store and get them printed. Do stores even still do that anymore? The ION Flim2SD Plus takes your slide or negative then you slide them in and it scans the pic right on to a SD card (which is included) then you can take that SD card and take it to a store and have the pics printed or put on a disc which is less storage.
It was super cool to see pictures from when my dad was young and see how much he looks like me and my sons. We found some pictures that we thought were forever gone along with others we had never seen before. My grandma is the only one alive and it made her cry being able to see older pictures of her and my grandpa before they had my dad and his brother. It was a great emotional gift to review the ION Flim2SD Plus, it brought us all closer as a family seeing how much things have and haven't changed.
My grandparents had lived in the same property for years and it was neat to see how when they lived there it looked like there was nothing but miles and miles of ground now its a busy street with stores within a block from their home. I loved trying to explain to my kids that this is the same street, they can't wrap their minds around it because of all the changes. We also found pictures of family that had passed like my dads grandpa. I guess he passed just before I was born and from what I heard he was really great man.
What also is really great about the ION Flim2SD Plus is that you see the picture clear as day on the screen while its being scanned on the SD card, the screen is about 2 inches. It even shows the pictures in color if there was color. I love LOVE the ION Flim2SD Plus and can't wait to see what other pictures we have yet to discover.
The ION Flim2SD Plus would make a awesome gift for any family because lets face it we all have that one family member that saved every and any picture.
