I'm sure most of you have heard of chalk paint. The paint that when it dries you can draw on the walls. I tried this in Riley's room a couple of years ago, and the problem with it, was that it didn't wipe clean like a chalkboard. Once he drew something, the remnants were always there.
So, I have been wanting something to write on, for the kids, something that isn't like an easel to take up space, and when I saw these Chalk Board Panels at Wall Candy Arts, I knew I had to have them!
The Chalkboard Panels I got came with 4 (19" h x 24.5" w each) to be used separately or combined for a large 49" w x 38" h chalkboard writing surface. Chalk is included.
I decided to split them up into 4 smaller panels versus one large one, though they could also be made into one bigger one and 1 or 2 smaller ones. I wanted the 4 to be in different places.
The first one (above) I did as a chore chart for my husband and I, since I am constantly reminding him of what day we "power clean" each room.
I am planning on using the other 2 panels for school work, but since we are re-vapming the school area of the house, I am waiting until that is done to put them up (stay tuned for pics!)
So far, I really love the panels. They wipe off easily and I like that they can be peeled off the wall and re-stuck somewhere else.
There are SO many uses for them. I was also thinking of putting one on the refrigerator and using it as a grocery list, or in the kids rooms to write notes for them when they wake up, or even using them for the "House Rules" the possibilities are endless!
