Sugar and Spice Gluten Free Baking Mixes Review and Giveaway

Since we are trying to be gluten free with Riley (due to the autism) it's been challenging for me to find recipes or foods that can be tasty for us that are not gluten free as well as Riley.

Riley has become accustomed to the taste of most gluten free foods, but my husband and Xander are much pickier. It's getting difficult to make 2 batches of cookies, or 2 birthday cakes at each event.

Sugar and Spice Market offers baking mixes the whole family will love.

I knew, I had to try!

At $5.00 per mix, I was PRAYING my family would enjoy it, $5.00 for those who buy gluten free, is a great price, and if we could all eat it, that would be awesome!

I decided to make the brownies, which was incredibly easy, just add eggs, butter and some water...and this is what we got.

Rich, chocolatey, gooey...and delicious! Riley was the first one to try (because really..if he didn't like it, why bother with anyone else?) and he immediately claimed the rest for himself.

I was able to get some away from him to let us all try, and I have to say these are actually better than the gluten variety. Thick, moist and SO yummy.

Sugar and Spice Market has recipes to use with your gluten free baking mixes like this one I am DYING to try!

Vegan Pumpkin Waffles

vegan-gluten-free-pumpkin-wafflesIngredients:
1 cups Sugar & Spice Market Gluten Free Pancake/Waffle Mix
1/2 tsp of each cinnamon, ginger, cloves & nutmeg
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp ground flax seed
3/4  cups coconut, rice, soy or almond milk
1/2  cup pumpkin puree
4 Tbsp butter substitute or oil
Directions
  • In a bowl, mix together all ingredients until well combined. Add milk substitute, pumpkin and butter/substitute/oil and mix well.  Let stand for 3 min.  If batter is too thick add more milk substitute as needed.
  • Heat waffle iron and pour or scoop the batter onto iron and cook as directed in waffle iron instructions.
  • Serve hot with your favorite topping.

  16. The website is down or the link is broken, but I have made the chocolate chip cookies with this mix before and they are really good. The brownie mix is my favorite. I made them for a party and people had no idea they were gluten free.
