Clif Kid Zbar Crispy Review

My family has always eaten a lot of fast food. I know, I know, it's bad.
I have always felt incredibly guilty. But, I have also always blamed a lot of it on my husband. He is not from the United States, and he eats completely differently than we do.

Since we got married 20 years ago, we have both always eaten separate meals and it didn't seem like a problem, I mean, we were both happy, so what did it matter? So, I never learned how to be the mom who cooks meals for her family, so when the kids came around, I stuck to what I knew, easy frozen dinners, or fast food.

Well, a few weeks ago my husband lost his job. With that, we decided to do some serious budgeting and the first thing to go was the eating out. We decided we would eat 3 meals a day as a family.

My kids, as I have talked about before are really picky eaters. So, this last few weeks have been a struggle getting them to eat with us, but they are coming around.

I was really excited when Clif Bar offered to let me review their "Clif Kid" product because I know that even if the kids don't eat their full meal that they will have a lot of nutrition from the bar.

Chocolate Brownie

The Clif Kid Zbar Crispy comes in 4 flavors
  1. Chocolate
  2. Chocolate Chip
  3. Peanut Butter
  4. Cookies n' Cream
They are made with organic ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup, and no trans fats.

There is nothing on the label in the ingredients that I don't recognize or can't pronounce.
So, now on to the taste test...my biggest fear..will my kids eat them?

Xander is still coming around, he is my most picky, he ate a half of a bar and said it was "good" but he is very used to overly processed foods.
Riley, on the other hand LOVES them, he has a snack drawer in the kitchen and after eating one bar he went and put the box in his drawer so that no one else could touch them.

Being picky, I love that he loves them, and will keep buying them. We are also going to try the original Clif Kid Zbar next time we go shopping.
