Mayesa Healthy Chocolate Drink Review and Giveaway

I love chocolate milk. I would drink it everyday. But I know the sugar content isn't great for me, and besides the protein and calcium of milk, there really isn't another benefit.

So I was really excited to find Mayesa Healthy Chocolate Drink.

The first thing I noticed when I got the drink, was that it said SHAKE WELL, which is a great tip since it has no additives, and will definitely need a GOOD shake.

After refrigerating Mayesa, I shook well and tasted it. It was definitely like an adult chocolate milk. It's flavor is similar to my regular brand, but much more "grown up" tasting.

I received both the original and the mint flavors, and was definitely more a fan of the mint. It reminded me of a nice dessert.

Mayesa is a deep, delicious and uplifting beverage made from organic cacao (the purest form of chocolate). We blend our Fair Trade cacao with select spices for an indulgent and satisfying taste experience. Mayesa provides you with a tasty source of fiber, calcium, potassium, vitamin D and antioxidants. Mayesa is dairy free, soy free, gluten free, has no cholesterol and no trans fats.  Cacao has been used for centuries for its unparalleled health benefits.
Cacao’s amazing qualities:
  • Antioxidants – Cacao contains the highest concentration of antioxidants by weight – more than acai, blueberries, pomegranates, red wine and goji berries.
  • Iron – 314% of RDA of Iron per ounce serving.
  • Magnesium – Excellent source supporting the heart, brain, digestive system.
  • Theobromine – Dilates the cardiovascular system making the heart’s job easier.
  • Anandamide – An endorphin known as the “Bliss Chemical.” Released naturally after exercise and found in Cacao.
Mayesa is brought to you in Tetra Pak containers which are made of cardboard from trees grown in a managed forest. The durable fibers make the carton light and the carbon footprint small. These containers have received the Presidential Award for Sustainable Development. The container matters. Recycle and support the environment.

  26. It wasn’t until the 1700s that mass production of cacao drinks made it more affordable to all. In 1765 the first chocolate factory was built in the American Colonies, although cacao was still served only in liquid form. In the mid 1800s, dark chocolate became available in bars in England.
