Radius Scuba Toothbrush Review and Giveaway

Wow! That is all I can say when I saw the Radius Scuba Toothbrush, It's huge! What makes this toothbrush stand out is, well, everything. Let's begin with the large handle. This allows for you to have a firm hold the whole time so no more slips in the sink. Next, you have the head of the brush which is double the size of a normal toothbrush which makes for a clean mouth.

My gums always seem to bleed when I brush my teeth. When using the Scuba Toothbrush I was pleased not to have any bleeding. The wide huge head massages the gums to help reduce the bleeding. The Radius toothbrush has soft bristles to help reduce enamel erosion.

Are you a lefty? The Radius Scuba has a toothbrush made for you with a left hand handle grip! No more being left out. The thumb grip is great to keep you from losing the toothbrush mid brush or it slipping while brushing causing you to bleed. Each Radius toothbrush is made to last 3 times longer than a normal toothbrush so think of the money you will save.

You can see all the many choices of toothbrush's that Radius has to offer by clicking the link here, which they have one for everyone in the family.

Enter to win a Scuba Toothbrush, Ends 3/6/13 open to U.S. residents only.

Journey Gym the start of a long process but worth the results!

I finally received my Journey Gym! I am super excited to try it out. I learned right away how out of shape I really am. The Journey Gym came with a DVD packed inside which has 3 segments. One is "Getting to know the gym" which talks about everything on the gym and how to use it. The other 2 segments on the gym are a 10 minute "Tone" workout and then a 20 minute "Strength" workout.

On the Journey Gym you have 5 resistant cables which allow for how much you want to test your muscles. You start off on orange then work your way up to more cables until your able to use all 5. The Journey Gym is very easy to assemble. Simply open the gym, take out your handles, put your legs in place, check your cables and flip over to connect your handles to cables. It's that easy. Once you have connected your handles to the cables you need to bring them to the starting point which can be different on all exercises, you press the bottom on the top of the handle which gives slack to the strap on the handle placing it in your starting position. You can see me do this in video below.

Since I am new to any kind of "real" exercise I am choosing to start my week off doing only the 10 minute tone exercise. I am not about to change what I eat, so everything I lose and tone will be 100% only by doing the exercises the Journey Gym offers. I hope over time to want to eat better foods but as of now I eat a lot of candy, one meal a day and drink about half a gallon of 2% milk with NesQuik every day. I hate water but after the first time doing the 10 minute workout I will make sure to have this on hand or you can replace water with a Gatorade or Powerade or some sort of health drink.

What I truly love about the Journey Gym is that it is super easy (yes, painful, but I know once I get better wont be as painful). They move at a learners pace so it's easy to stay on track and get the correct exercise down. Each exercise has a timer which so you really don't notice that 10 minutes have passed that fast. They break it down to 60 seconds this arm, leg, side etc so it's really a great way to get through the whole 10 minutes. I also love like I mentioned before how easy it is to follow. I have tried to do other work out videos and some just move so fast or focus on one area for to long that you're in so much pain you do not want to continue. I was very pleased my first time that right when my legs were killing me we moved into a upper arm exercise and once that was killing me it was the abs, the DVD kept going like this making it a great workout that I cannot wait for the next day to do.

Have a Big Family or Kids that Wander? Safety Tat Review and Giveaway

I am far from perfect. So once in a blue moon one of my kids might go missing while we are out, which normally it's one who barely knows their name let alone mine. So, why not have a little piece of mind knowing that your contact information is on your child?

Safety tat's are just that. They are cute, colorful, skin friendly tattoos that have your phone number or whatever so if they are lost a person will see this and can help reunite you with your child. It's a scary thing having your kid wander off, and it happens more then we like to admit. I was at Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando, FL this past weekend and figured what a great place to try out the tats.

I placed a tat on both Elizabeth and Joshua. The tattoos I picked out have cute dinosaurs on them which both kids love. I placed them on with a baby wipe holding it on the arm for about 20 seconds and removed the backing and had a great looking tattoo with my information right there. My kids loved the tattoos and wore them all day and even then some, because it took about 5 days for them to be unreadable. To remove the rest I took a cotton ball with alcohol and rubbed it off, good as new.

I love the idea of these tattoos. They are a great idea for toddlers and infants. Think of all the places you can use them. At the beach, park, daycare, baby sitters and more. I liked knowing I had a little more piece of mind that if they wander someone would surely see a bright color tattoo on them as well as them liking so much they kept pointing it out to everyone.

Not only does safety tats have tattoos for if you child is lost but they also have tattoos for children with allergies, which is great for sleep overs, scouts, summer camp or even school! This is a great way to make sure your child does not eat something or is near something that can possibly make them very sick. I know I have a friend whose child is very allergic to nuts that even the smallest hint will place them in the hospital. So this would help her be more at ease knowing she is taking extra steps to keep her child safe from a accidental exposure to nuts.

Newman's Own Organics Review and Giveaway

I have always been one to give my kids healthy options over those full of sugar. I have a weight problem and I don't want the kids learning how to eat from me, so I try to eat healthier too, but I make sure they do.

One of the first products I found when they were toddlers was the "Newman's Own Organics" First of all, I loved that they were organic, and second, they taste great. I'm going to tell you about 4 products, three that I love and one that Casey loves.

My favorite Newman's Own Organics product was the Licorice.

My kids are always begging me for candy, and I hate to give them something that isn't good for them, not that any candy is "healthy" but if they are going to eat it, they might as well eat the best kind I can find.

The licorice twists come in 4 varieties, Sour Cherry, Sour Apple, Sour Mango and Sour Strawberry.

None of the flavors were very sour, which was great, but they are made with organic sugar.

Second, both Casey and I enjoyed the pretzels, and we both have to say the kids DEVOURED them. We had the Honey Wheat and Spelt varieties and they were both terrific.

All Newman's Own Organic Pretzels
We took the Pretzels with us to a theme park, and the kids ate the whole 2 bags in one sitting. All the Newman's Own Organics Pretzels are certified organic.

My third favorite item was the Alphabet Cookies. I really enjoyed the chocolate and between the kids and I we finished off the bag in about 30 minutes! The alphabet cookies come in 3 flavors, Vanilla, Cinnamon Graham and Chocolate.

Casey and kids loved the Ginger-O's which are ginger cookies with creme in the middle. They were very good they tasted like a sweet graham cracker. I also liked how well the cookie stayed intact as I ate it. Most you take a bite, they fall apart so you get more cookie than creme, not with these.

Newman's Own Organics has many other products including pet food, Pretzels, Chocolate Bars, Fig Newmans™, Family Recipe Cookies, Chocolate Cups, Newman-O's, Pop's Corn, Alphabet Cookies , Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar, Dried Fruit , Hermits, Mints, Licorice, Coffee and Royal Tea

One of our readers is going to win the 4 items we reviewed here and one surprise item! To enter, please use the rafflecopter form below. Good Luck!

Replacement Resolution with Musselman's Applesauce

Casey has the Journey Gym, and me? I have my own will power and commitment as a way to help me get in shape this year.
So when Musselman's Applesauce introduced me to their "Replacement Resolution" I was intrigued.

I thought, "What the heck, I can replace a snack a day with an applesauce" and you know what? It's working! I changed nothing about my diet, except I am no longer eating my granola bar as a mid morning snack. Instead I am eating one applesauce cup.

I am feeling better, and looking better and plan to keep it up for the rest of the year!

I also found out you can cut oil out of your baking by replacing it with applesauce! How cool is that!
Here is a good conversion chart.

Chart 1

Basically you use EXACTLY a 1:1 ratio.

I am also really excited to try this Applesauce Doughnut recipe with the kids, they are baked not fried!!

Apple Sauce Doughnuts

Ingredients
  • 6 unfilled doughnuts
  • 1 c. MUSSELMAN'S Apple Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. pecans, chopped

Directions
Slice doughnuts in half horizontally. Combine apple sauce, brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Place some apple sauce mixture between halves and arrange in shallow pan. Fill center and partly cover top of each doughnut with remaining apple sauce mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve warm.
Makes 6 servings

Sun Cups Gluten and Peanut Free Candy Review

Sun Cups are a great tasting Gluten-Free and Peanut-Free candy, that very much resemble and taste like another famous peanut cup candy.

I was recently given the opportunity to try several varieties of Sun Cups including Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Sun Cups, Dark Chocolate Mint Cups, and Milk Chocolate Caramel Cups.

At first glance, the Sun Cups look exactly like other peanut butter cups. When tasting, they are close, but slightly different, you can really tell there are sunflower seeds in there.

I let my Gluten-free child try them, and he was in love. I enjoyed the mint cups, and the caramel cups as well, and I like that they come in single serve sizes rather than 2 cups per package, so you are not tempted to have 2 of them.

Auric Blends Review and Giveaway

Before I got pregnant with Xander, I was a "perfume junkie" I had about 40 of them on my dresser and used them religiously. Once I got pregnant, I couldn't stand the smell and have never quite recovered.

Then, I was offered the chance to review Auric Blends

I chose to sample the fragrance called "Love" which was described as "A touch of our Egyptian Goddess combined with white amber, white musk and woods"

I sampled the soap eu de parfum, and the perfume oil.

The Eu De Parfum spray is definitely my favorite, its light, lighter than a normal perfume, but not as light as a body spray that's gone in an hour. The scent lingers, not too much, but just enough to smell nice all day.

The soap was wonderful too, it has the same great scent and leaves my skin smelling great. I tried a drop of the perfume oil and it was nice, but much stronger than the spray so I will reserve that for special occasions.

TheraPearl Hot Cold Relief Packs Review and Giveaway

After having my first son Brian I have had many back pain issues. I am always on the look out for ways to help ease my pain. I was very happy to get a TheraPearl Hot and Cold Pack. What makes it so great is that I am able to place it on my back and it stays!

TheraPearl is great because I am able to use it over and over and over again. The TheraPearl Hot Cold pack works like so. Simply place in the freezer for a cool sensation and then heat in the microwave for a heating sensation. The TheraPearl gets its name from the gel like pearls which are able to hold heat or cold which then freely move throughout the pack allowing a nice distribution of relief on your back or wherever you wish to place it.

I wrapped the pack around my back as I did laundry and cleaning. I was happy that for once the pain was not as bad as it normally would be to the point of having to stop and start again. I was able to get through the chores without stopping. The TheraPearl wraps around and has a Velcro closure allowing you to adjust it. You can also use it on your calves, hips or whatever else hurts.

I would recommend TheraPearl for anyone with aches. It sure beats spending money on the other hot packs out there which you trash after one use, or saving you from putting medications in your body to help with pain. You can purchase your own TheraPearl product by clicking here. They have a wide selection of other great products that you will be able to find something that fits your need.

Win A TheraPearl Back Wrap, enter the rafflecopter below, contest will end 3/4/13 open to U.S. residents only.

TruKids Shampoo! Review

TruKid Baby Body and Hair Wash is all natural, eco friendly, gluten free and of course biodegradable. I used on all my kids and they loved it. It did not burn their eyes like so many other shampoos do. TruKid Baby Body and Hair Wash lathered really well, making their hair soft and thick. TruKid Baby Body and Hair Wash smells like pink grapefruit which is great compared to the normal baby soft smell.
It was nice to have both baby wash and shampoo in one bottle it made it easy and faster to get kids in and out of the bath. My daughter Sarah loved to play with the bubbles that the TruKid Baby Body and Hair Wash made, it was an extra bonus for her.

TruKids also has a bunch of other products to choose from like Lotion and Hero Stick which I reviewed here , skin care from the sun, and bath care. All products you use everyday when you have children so why not try something new and Tru.

You can swing by their facebook page and like them by clicking this link, once you like them head over to their site and if you make a purchase of $30 or more you can use code bubblymom and get a FREE Bubbly Body Wash!

Disclosure: I was given TruKids Shampoo to help with my review. All opinions are 100% mine.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Arkon Mobile Mini Fold-Up Smartphone Tripod Review

Now that Casey is doing the series on weight loss with the help of Journey Gym, she is going to need a really good tripod to help her hold her camera since I can't always be there.

I wanted the BEST tripod that would work with virtually any phone or camera, so I decided to go with ARKON

The tripod came to me in a bag, all folded up which is great, with 5 kids, she needs something small that can be hidden out of sight until she needs it.

We had it set up and put together in about 5 minutes and we were ready to go.

Casey loves the tripod, and plans to use it now for all of her video blogs.

Here is a video showing exactly how easy it is to set up and use.

Arkon has so many products for your smartphone or tablet ranging from car mounts to bicycle mounts and even armbands!

You can purchase the Arkon Mobile Mini Fold-Up Smartphone Tripod here for $17.99

SleepPhones Night Headphones Review

Riley sleeps every night with his iPod. He would not be able to sleep without it, we have tried.
But, the noise is distracting to his brother, so we have been trying to find headphones that he will use.

Being autistic, this is not easy. He doesn't like anything in his ears so earbuds are out, and he doesn't like the hard plastic of the ear covering head phones, so when we heard about SleepPhones we knew we had to give it a try.

SleepPhones are made of fleece and go on like a headband. They are very soft and the speakers are in just the right spots once they are in place, and you can't even feel them when you sleep.

SleepPhones are made to work with almost any device, like a CD player, iPod or other MP3 player.
They also come with a CD sampler of soothing sounds.

Now, for the all important test..would Riley like them?

YES! He loves them, and sleeps with them every night, I like that they are machine washable too, so I don't have to worry if they get a little dirty.

You can purchase your own SleepPhones for about $39.99.

PrinterPix Review

I am one of those moms who has pictures of her kids EVERYWHERE in the house.

Casey makes fun of me, because she says I have "shrines" all over..yeah, I have candles lit around pictures of my kids, but it makes me feel good..so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

When a company offers me the chance to review a picture, I am always on board, and this time was no exception.

PrinterPix.com offers so many choices when it comes to personalized photo wall art.

They have Photo Canvases which can also be made into collages, like this one.

Then, there are Framed Photo Prints

And then there is the one I chose, the Aluminum Mounted Prints

When the Aluminum Print came in the mail, the first thing I noticed was how flat it was, like compared to canvas prints. I really love the flatness, because it just melts into the wall as if it was always meant to be there.

The second thing I noticed was that there were no mounting instructions, so I got creative and used double sided command strips, and it's been hanging great, it took about 2 minutes to get the strips on and the photo hung.

Finally, I noticed how clear the picture is on the aluminum. It is very sharp and bright.

Printerpix.com has lots of other cool photo items to choose from like Photo Books, Photo Calendars, and even iPhone cases!
You can purchase many of the items here.

Disclosure: I was given an Aluminum Photo Print to help with my review. All opinions are 100% mine.

NEW Griddle Melts at IHOP Review and Giveaway

Have you seen the commercials for the new Griddle Melt Sandwiches at IHOP? They look delicious right? I couldn't wait to get in there and try them. We love IHOP, especially because kids eat free (not all areas) after 4pm.

Griddle Melts come in 3 varieties:
  1. Spinach, Roasted Pepper and Cheese which is Sautéed spinach in a fluffy egg omelet topped with roasted red peppers, onions, melted Provolone, Parmesan and Pepper Jack cheeses on grilled artisan sourdough bread.
  2. Western which is Smoked ham and sautéed peppers and onions in a classic omelet, topped with sliced ham, melted American cheese and served on grilled artisan sourdough bread.
  3. Ham & Egg Melt which is Sliced ham and melted Swiss and American cheeses over a fluffy egg omelet served on grilled artisan sourdough bread.
All 3 are served with your choice of french fries or fresh fruit.

I decided to try the Spinach, Roasted Pepper and Cheese Griddle Melt.
The first thing I noticed when the server brought it was how BIG it was! I knew right away I would need my husband's help finishing the whole thing.

The flavor of the Griddle Melt was really good, it was a little spicy (i'm guessing from the roasted pepper) and was almost like eating an omelet inside of a grilled sandwich. I really enjoyed it.

I wanted to get a picture of the inside.

The kids really enjoyed their dinner as well.

And of course my husband loves his omelets for dinner.

Please head on over to Facebook and "like" the IHOP page to keep up with the latest news.

FTC Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post, I was given a $25 gift card so that I could take my family to try the new Griddle Melts at IHOP, but all opinions are 100% mine.

On to the Giveaway!!
One lucky winner is going to get a $25 gift card (provided by 7 Kids and Us) to try their own Griddle Melt at IHOP!

Arizona Chocolate Fudge Soda Review

I don't remember growing up with soda shops that sold Chocolate Soda, but my mom does.

She remembers sitting on a stool and ordering a chocolate soda and says it was one of the best things in the world. I have always wished I could live that experience with her, I remember back when I was a kid and there was a soda that was reminiscent of the drugstore soda, but my mom said it wasn't quite the same.

Then, we saw Arizona's Chocolate Fudge Soda in the store. I HAD to buy one and share it with my mom. I took it home and refrigerated it until it was ice cold, and then we cracked it open and poured it into 2 glasses.

I watched my mom take the first sip, and she smiled bigger than I have seen in many years..I could tell she was reliving her youth and I got teary eyed watching it.

Now, it was my turn. I took a sip, and closed my eyes...trying to feel how it must have felt for my mom so many years ago..and I transported myself back into her time..sitting on a big stool and sipping a perfect soda.

Since I have nothing to compare it to, I can't honestly say that it is just like soda shops of the past..but my mom says it's very very close.

Thank you Mom, and Arizona for giving me the wonderful memory of Chocolate Fudge Soda.
