When you first think of chocolate, what comes to mind?
These are some of my words.
Rich, Sinful, Delicious, Indulgent
I am by all means not a chocolate freak, but I DO know the benefits of chocolate (yes, benefits)
"A 2011 Swedish study found that women who ate more than 45 grams of chocolate a week had a 20 percent lower risk of stroke than women who treated themselves to fewer than 9 grams of the sweet stuff" Huffington Post.
20% lower risk of stroke? From eating something delicious?

So I started some real research, because I know gobbling up a 12 pack of Hershey's isn't going to count.
The more milk/sugar in the chocolate, the less benefits.
So I stumbled upon this site called Madecasse.com
They sell Madagascar chocolates in all kinds of yummy variteies.
These are NOT your typical store bought chocolates. They have little to no sugar and are very potent.
My favorite was the Sea Salt and Nibs which packs a great chocolate flavor along with a hint of salt.
The ingreditents?
(cocoa beans, sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa nibs, sea salt, soy lecithin, vanilla)
I also tried the Cinnamon and Sakay
Which has a light sakay pepper flavor that really accents the chocolate (think of hot cocoa with chili powder)
Overall I am very happy to have found Madecasse Chocolates. I will be purchasing from them to get my daily antioxidants.
One bar is only $5.99 and can be purchased here.
One of my readers is going to win a gift pack of Madecasse Chocolates.
