I have been going to the Fort Wilderness since I was born and now I am able to bring my friends and family along. I introduced Paige to the campground about 4 years ago, and we go at least once a month.
The Resort offers so much, you're able to swim, hike, bike, camp, watch a movie and more. When you first come to the Fort Wilderness you come through a security check point. Normally we say we are there to shop which is the truth we buy a drink or food while there : ) You're greeted with the bus loop and the horse back riding. Paige and I have never done the horseback ride yet but we would like to in the future it's not to costly about a 30 minute ride is $45 for either 4 adults, or 2 adults and up to 3 kids. At the front of the resort you have 2 options if not staying at the campground you can walk, or take a bus which is free. The buses also offer rides to the other parks, hotels and downtown Disney for free as well.
To stay at the campground its $48 to $79 during the off season. They also offer cabins which sleep 6 and are priced at $285 a night.
Paige and I go to the campground for the pool, parks and security knowing that are kids are a little safer here then at an everyday park. Our kids spend a lot of time at the park looking in the bushes for bugs or building forts from left over tree waste. Here is a video of our kids at the pool area last summer
At the center of the campground which is about a half mile in, is the main pool. The pool offers a kids splash area, massive pool with slide, arcade, food and beverage bar, tennis courts, and playground. The Food is around $7.00 a plate which is a sandwich, drink and chips. The arcade you buy a card which has a point system, most games are 10 points to play which you can get 50 points for $5. Meadow Woods Trading Post is in the center of the campsites as well this is a small grocery/gift shop which has all the things you forget and need along with Disney merchandise, Paige and i will alot of times stop here and pickup a loaf of bread and a package of turkey, that way the kids are fed during our outing. The great thing is the groceries are the same price as like a 7-11.
Along with all this there is the bike rental, boat rental, fishing gear, golf cart rentals are also in this location across the lake which anyone is allowed to rent with a deposit. The best part of the center is the camp fire movie, they light up two big fires on each side of the screen and roast marshmallows which you will need to bring your own, or they do sell kits to make smores which come with sticks that cost $10, for that you can make about 4 large smores or several small ones (2 regular size hershey's bars are included in the kit) The movie starts with a sing a long or fun classic Disney songs like who is the Mickey Mouse Club theme song, P-l-u-t-o (in the style of BINGO) and more. They play 2 movies during the summer one at 7pm and another at 9:15pm all are Disney movies, USUALLY the 9:15 show is not a cartoon, but not always. They show a big variety as well as movies that have just been released to DVD. You have your choice of bleachers or log benches for seating.
The Fort Wilderness is home of the Hoop Dee Doo Revue Dinner Show, is nightly old-fashioned dinner show includes hand-clapping', knee-slapping' music and comedy combined with an all-American, family-style dinner which is about $40 a person. The Trails End is the other restaurant in the park also located next to the Hoop Dee Doo, plates are anywhere from $14.99 to $35.99 a person, they also offer a full buffet which is around $35 a person. Sometimes when Paige and I go and we don't feel like sandwiches we get a pizza from Trails End, its about $15 for a large and you can take it out to the tables by the playground.
Settlement Trading Post is located at the back of the Fort Wilderness and offers grocery as well, along with the Hoop Dee Do, Trading Post, and Trail's End you will find a arcade, playground, beach, boats, and pony rides.
Pony rides are offered for the children, it is a short ride around a farm like setting for about $5 a child, you walk the horse.
The Fort Wilderness offers so much that its hard to include everything its a great get away, all in one place! It also has a 2-3 mile walking trail which connects to the Wilderness Lodge which is a gorgeous place that also offers a lot but that's a whole different post : )

Chuck E. Cheese also offers kids to be kids as in as long as its not harming or destroying anything they don't seem to care which is great! An example; my 2 year old daughter is to small for skee ball but she gets that she has to get the balls in the holes they have never said anything or given us dirty looks when she walks down the ramp and puts the ball in a hole.
I also like how they have numbers to parents and kids so that way they know your not taking the wrong child. I like that we are able to get a break because they have people 24/7 at the door so no kid should make it out and we watch them, but it's not like we have to follow them around, if they haven't come back in a certain time then we get up and look but have never had any issues there either.
They are always changing out the games so that there is something new for kids to do. If you don't mind loud then its a great place to relax.

He has always loved the color pink, and he loves baby dolls, barbies, princess..etc. I have had issues with the fact that he likes girl things, i was always thinking it was a phase he will grow out of, but...he is 8.
Nothing has changed, if anything he likes it even more. I would like to know why i feel this way, why is it that girls can play with boys toys & its 100% totally fine, but a boy touches a baby doll, society labels him a "GIRL" why is this?! I try to go along with him liking "girl" things, cause i hear if your son plays with dolls he becomes a good dad, so really? that's wrong to have a man who will love and be there for his kids?
I am grateful though that at school he doesn't seem to get bullied for how he is, in fact he has many girl-friends and a few boys who all play together. We need to learn from our youth that toys are exactly that, TOYS. They are there to make the mind flow and learn. I learned that i can't hide how he is, nor should i, he likes girl things. I am so sorry that we all have it set in our minds that it's so wrong but i am sad that society makes me feel ashamed of him when i really don't it's just how i was raised "BOYS DON'T PLAY WITH DOLLS" guess what? that needs to change, and it starts with me as the parent. Let your kids be who they are and be grateful that they are happy, healthy and whatever comes of it comes, we need to be proud of our children and teach them that there is no such thing as a girl or boy toy.

Between Paige and I we have 5 boys and 2 girls. Geotrax have been a big hit with them all. I started my kids collection when my oldest turned one, i now own 2 totes worth. Geotrax are an awesome toy that all ages can enjoy. Fisher Price comes out with a new set every year which a train and remote are about $25, the sets go anywhere from $25-$100 depending on size. You can find Geotrax at all major retail locations. I fell in love with the product because it offers so much, your able to change the tracks and they hold up to anything your child dishes out. Geotrax are very easy to use they require a total of 6 AAA batteries, 3 in the train & 3 in the remote. Trains are set on a track and move with the simplicity of a forward and backwards remote, the tracks snap together and have a nice hold. Right now on Amazon most of the Cars 2 sets are on clearance, including the car and remote below.
Little do people know that Epcot has a play area for kids! The playground is located in the Mission Space waiting area. Mission Space never has much of a wait because not many people can handle the G-Force it packs, but for those who want a break from their kids all you have to do is go in through the exit and your there. Along with a play area they also have family games, post cards you can send as an email of you on mars, and more... I never knew of the playground until i went on the ride myself, and my friend had to wait. Its a great way for kids to let loose because really Epcot is fun, but where can they play? This is the answer : )

So my son Riley, loves phases.
He has done it since he knew what things were, he would like something, and only that one thing.
As a mom, i find it frustrating, but i also know where he is coming from because i was the same way as a kid, i can remember doing it, maybe its payback.
Right now Riley is very into Hot Wheels Battle Force 5.
His entire world revolves around these 5 cars that battle. He uses my ipod touch and plays the theme song every 30 seconds, if we ask him what he wants for lunch, he says "mom, do you love battle force 5?"

The rooms look like doctors offices, with a cot like table/bed but its dark, and quiet and you are welcome to rest in the room until you are better.
They will give you medicines for headaches, stomach aches, allergies, sinus issues..whatever you need, don't be afraid to go ask! Even something small like a band-aid or an antacid, they got it!

I found out about this place about a year ago, and fell in love with it.
Lake Eva offers, a Water Park which is $3 per person to get in or $100 per family for year, 2 massive playgrounds, A huge center area for picnics, football or whatever you like, they also show free movies there through out the month, tennis courts, basket ball courts, walking trails, sport shop and finally a lake which you can fish off of or put a boat in. Lake Eva offers all ages something to do the playground are set up to age groups so any kid 1 and up is sure to have a fun time.
Lake Eva's water park allows families to enjoy a full size pool, a massive slide, shooting water, and a center piece of water tunnels and slide for younger kids. The kids section of the water park is great because you really feel at ease, the slide drops down into less then 3ft of water so all children over 36" can go on the slide, the whole play area is 1-2 feet deep. They have a nice little food stand that offers anything from ice pops to pizza at a cheap affordable price.
I love lake eva cause its only 20mins from me i am able to go and enjoy the water without being over worried, if your a outdoors person i would defiantly make a stop at this very clean enjoyable park.
If you are visiting Disney on vacation and don't want to spend the money to go to a water park, this is a great alternative for $3 a person!

First, they offer wristbands in case your child gets lost! You can mark your child's name right on the band or my favorite, your cell phone number!
Earplugs! Disney offers the use of Kid-Size ear plugs for those who might get scared of the fireworks (or with sensory issues)
Kid-Centric Maps, you can stop by guest relations and they will give you a very kid friendly map of the park without all the big words on it.
Oh, and don't forget while you are at guest relations to pickup your free buttons! (First Visit, Just Married, Happy Birthday and I'm Celebrating! are the most common)

I am a tomboy through and through, always had my truck, never wanted a little car.. but then i became a mom and got ......A MINIVAN!!! Oh My GOD i bought a minivan! I was 20 years old driving a minivan! what!?! I can't do anything to a minivan to make it nicer, all i can do is slap a sticker on it saying "soccer mom" lol which was not me. Well i have now been in a van for 8 years, and i have to say I LOVE MINIVANS! Yeah they may not look cool, but wow they can do it all. While the minivan is not the best thing to look at, it does allow for me to have all my family and friends in one vehical, does have some horse power to it, and it gets great gas mileage for how many it can hold. I love to go on vacations with it, we had gone while one of our children was in diapers and instead of pulling over cause a major poo i was able to get up from my seat move to the back, change the diaper place the child back in their seat, without stopping! It was great! Also could pass out food with ease, and let kids lay out if they were tired. The minivan has come a long way my mother has the nicer Town and Country, this thing is fully loaded, it has doors that with a click of a button open up, stow and go (if i had i would keep juice, swim items, and diapers in) and a dvd player which it great for long trips. Minivans rock! and sadly i would never trade it for a truck while i am a mom cause really the minivans are a mom must have, and if the husband doesn't like, let him pick out some rims, place him in the backseat with kids, and movie and see how he feels after : )
I have had 5 kids now, and 4 of the 5 i have had at Osceola Regional. I was told by many how awful the place is, well its nothing like that! I had a great experience time after time with them.
I had my first son there, all went easy, i was waited on like as if i were VIP they had food for me whenever i asked, I was allowed access to the fridge down the hall which had lots of snacks, juice etc.. The rooms are an all in one, you give birth in and stay there so there was no moving from room to room. Osceola was a great choice cause yeah we all love the fact that other hospitals might offer better but for me i was closer to home, which after you have a child whats the first thing you wanna do......you wanna show them off which the sooner your home brings the people : ) The nurse staff were all pleasant never questioned me and always had answers when i had them, some of the nurses i had back with my first were still there & they remembered me which was nice to have that! When leaving Osceola they sent me home with everything that was in room, diapers, formula, breast pump, diaper bags, etc it was like a whole new baby shower. I don't think Osceola gets the credit they deserve they keep stepping up their game, and i love the place i hope that my own daughters will be able to have there own children there when the time comes. One of the things i do as a mom is homeschool, well ok..i "virtual" school.
This is in a way the same as homeschooling, only i don't have to buy anything, seriously, i don't have to buy ANYTHING.
K-12.com sent me everything i needed to teach my kids at home. Some people are surprised to hear that yes you can virtual school a 5 and 6 year old.
It's actually pretty easy, the kids learn alot more, and they get to learn on their own schedule.
I have never liked the idea of someone else raising or teaching my kids, they have never EVER had a babysitter, except my mom, because i think no one will ever watch them as well as i can, no one else would guard them with their lives.
We go online for about 4 hours a day and do school work, usually an hour or so at a time, when its time to read we snuggle in bed and read 4-5 books at a time (that's one subject for the day!) I get great quality time with them that's also learning.

So my oldest son who is 7 years old can't say his R's. This has been an issue since he could talk, but his
Pediatrician kept saying he would grow out of it....keep waiting. We waited for 5 years. It didn't get better, so finally after some begging we are able to start speech, X loves it, can't get enough of it, he is so excited to start being able to say words right.

Everyday if they were cheaper. This morning when I got up I was surprised I see I have baby tomatoes growing! Thanks to my friend Amy at her blog Whosaidnothinginlifeisfree.com who inspired me to do this!
What's nice about the science center and 7 kids is that they have free wifi and plenty of places to sit. We are always looking for something fun for the kids and a place where we can relax, plus at the science center they let us do a family pass for $100 for the year for all 9 of us!
