Zevia Zero Calorie Cola Review and Giveaway

About a year ago my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. 

He is not overweight, no other health issues, he goes to the gym once a week and climbs stairs at work for close to 4 hours a day. 

The doctors told him it was genetic, and he had probably had high blood sugar for years and just didn't know it. 

When he was hospitalized his sugar count was over 900, they kept asking him how he was alive!
 

Anyway, life changes took place when he came home, including cutting out all soda (we are BIG coke drinkers) 

That was hard. 

I didn't give up on coke completely, but my husband had to. I try not to drink it in front of him. 

Since he was diagnosed with diabetes, he is trying to take much better care of himself, and one of the things he does is to not eat or drink aspartame (nutra-sweet). 

So when I heard about Zevia Zero Calorie Soda, I knew we had to try it. Zevia is made from stevia, which is a plant in the sunflower family. Its sweetness doesn't affect the body the way sugar does, and it's calorie free!

I got a few different flavors to try. 

• caffine free cola
• dr zevia
• grapefruit citrus
• orange
• black cherry
• mountain zevia

I let my husband try all but one, so that I could tell you guys how it is. 

 

 

My husbands opinion after not drinking any kind of soda for almost a year, was that it's awesome. 

He LOVED the Dr Zevia and the grapefruit citrus. 

 

He said it was very close to drinking soda and didn't have a bad aftertaste. 

 

I tried the orange. 

It was OK. I am used to Orange Crush, which I know, is full of very very bad things, but the orange Zevia reminded me of a kids chewable asprin I took as a child. 

 

Considering how NOT bad for you it is, it's pretty good.
