When I first heard of Powdered Peanut Butter
I honestly thought it was for emergency use. Like, I thought it would be something that a little would go a long way, and it would have an incredibly long shelf life.
I was not all wrong.
PB2 is made from peanuts, but they have squeezed all the oil out until nothing is left but a powder (kind of like hot cocoa)
Then, you take 2 TBSP of the powder and mix it with 1 TBSP of water and you have a VERY Low Fat Peanut Butter

PB2 has just 1 gram of fat per 2 tablespoons, in comparison to 17 grams of the leading brands.
That is AMAZING!
I remember a few years before Xander was born and I was on Weight Watchers, using the points system. I could use 1 TEASPOON of peanut butter on bread for 4 points (1 pt bread) with PB2 I could have had 4X as much food for the same amount of points!
What I found this is best in though, if protein shakes. I make a shake in the mornings for breakfast sometimes, and I recently started adding a teaspoon of PB2 with premium chocolate and it is delicious! It gives my shake a rich taste and hardly adds any calories (2 TBSP of PB2 is 45 calories)
A 4 pack of PB2 is about $16 (you can even get 2 of each, the original and the one with added chocolate)
You can also find some great recipes using PB2 on their website here.
I think I am going to try this one
