KiwiCrate Kids Craft Box Review and Giveaway

Because I home school my 2 boys, I am always looking for fun craft projects for them.

I usually end up at Joann's or Michael's, and end up spending $20-30  on a couple of projects after all the supplies are purchased. Then, I get home and usually realize something dumb, like we are out of glue, or I have no more paint brushes.
Along with that, I end up having to buy so much more than I needed, I mean you can't buy 2 pompoms for buttons on a snowman, right?

So, I started researching online trying to find craft kits that have everything included for one low price.
What I found was a wonderful company called KiwiCrate

The box arrived about 6 days after placing my order, and the kids were more than in a hurry to get started! I was still not completely sure we were not going to need extra supplies, so I opened the box and hoped for the best.

The box contained 3 projects.
  1. (3) Make your Own Ornament
  2. Gingerbread House
  3. Gingerbread Men and Christmas Tree
The first thing the boys wanted to do, was the Make Your Own Ornaments
There were 3 ball ornaments included, which gave them both one and an extra for me!
The directions were very easy to understand, and yes, EVERYTHING was included! Paint, Corkscrews, Pipe Cleaners and Ribbon!

Next, we moved on to the Gingerbread house.
The house was in 2 pieces, and we had to glue it together, I was SO happy that glue was included in the box, I actually had glue on hand, but it was so nice that I didn't have to go get it, everything was right there!

Finally we did the Christmas Tree and Gingerbread Men.
What I loved about the box, was that all the directions were very easy to follow and that for every project there was NOTHING that I needed to supply myself, I mean on the ornaments, after you paint them, it says "place the ornaments upside down in a plastic cup to drain the paint" and there were 3 little plastic cups in the kit! I didn't have to supply anything and it was JUST the right amount of everything to make the projects.
This is something that would be great for a grandparents house, I know my mom loves to do projects with the kids, but she never has anything on hand, she has crayons and paint, but usually doesn't have brushes or kid glue.

Here is a video of Xander and Riley talking about KiwiCrate

I would totally recommend buying this, it's a great kit for when the kids are home during breaks, or for the little ones who are home all the time!
KiwiCrate can be purchased for $19.99 per kit plus shipping, or you can buy a 3 month membership for $59 and free shipping, a 6 month subscription for $110 and free shipping or a 1 year subscription for $220 and free shipping.

  2. Although the Gingerbread house crate is darling and any Christmas craft is a winner this time of year I think my son would flip over the Space hero costume. He really enjoys playing from his dress up collection.
