I try to find time for my kids and have some one on one with them. My oldest son Brian I feel gets the least, so I heard about
Lowe's Build and Grow projects. They are every other week and completely free!
The first one we ever did was a train which was in 3 projects, my son loved it and we now go on a regular basis.
Its really simple to sign up, you type in your zip code and it tells you where a
Lowe's is, and then you sign up, print a wavier and bring it in on the day of the build. Once you're at
Lowe's your child is given an apron, safety goggles, hammer, and package with your project in it.
You do the projects at
Lowe's. When done you hand back in your hammer. The assistant gives you a certificate for completion along with an iron on patch.
So check out your local
Lowe's and sign up for a free project classes are every other Saturday morning at 10am. Also Home Depot does something like this for kids and you get pins, I have yet to go. At
Lowe's you can also buy kid friendly projects which come with patches also, they priced from $5-$15.
